Jo Johnson

Partner & Solicitor

Head of Children Law

Jo is a solicitor with 20 years experience of children’s law and is the Managing Partner of Baches. Jo can help you or your children and grandchildren with any legal problem about children’s lives. Whether that is who they should live with or who they should see, Jo can help you through the legal process to ensure the best outcome for everyone.

Lisa Fraser

Lisa has specialised in Public Law care proceedings for 30 years. Lisa qualified as a solicitor in 2010 and in 2024 she achieved the Children Law Accreditation, a recognised quality standard for practitioners representing children in children law proceedings.  Lisa grew up in the Black Country and started off her career working for a local authority but now represents parents, grandparents and children in care proceedings. Lisa can guide and advise you throughout the entire process.

Lindsey Newell

Partner and Solicitor

Head of Matrimonial Law

Lindsey is a Partner in the firm. As a Solicitor she specialises in matrimonial/cohabitation disputes and private children law applications. Lindsey’s expertise include dealing with divorce, separation agreements, financial remedy, pre/post nuptial agreements, cohabitation disputes/agreements, children act disputes and civil injunctions.

She particularly specialises in dealing with financial settlements upon the breakdown of a relationship or marriage and has vast experience of dealing with both low and high net worth cases.

Jarna Rahman

Partner and Legal Executive

Head of Conveyancing

Jarna is a non-equity Partner and Chartered Legal Executive who joined Baches in March 2022. She attended Wolverhampton University and qualified as a Fellow Legal Executive in 1998. Jarna has previously worked at other well established law firms in the West Midlands and practiced as a Family Lawyer for over 16 years until she returned to Residential Conveyancing in 2016.

Jarna is the Head of our Residential Property team, helping clients deal with sales and purchases of property, re-mortgages, transfer of equity, freehold or leasehold transactions.

In her spare time she likes to create projects with her artistic talent these include cakes, flower arranging or upcycling furniture.

Sharan Sohal

Partner and Solicitor

Head of Private Client Dept

Sharan is a Solicitor, non-equity Partner, Head of the Private Client Department and has experience in all areas of private client law, to include Wills, Probate, Trusts, Inheritance Tax and Succession Planning, Powers of Attorney, Deputyship Applications, Transfer of Properties and Elderly Client.

Over many years, Sharan has worked with Clients from both local high street to large city firms.
Qualified in 2002, Sharan has a breadth of experience dealing with clients having assets abroad, as well as more complex matters whereby several areas of law, as mentioned may be interlinked and require unravelling.

Ian Turlunch

Ian is a Solicitor who has been working in the Private Client Department since 2018.

He has a wide range of experience in Wills, Powers of Attorney, non-contentious Probate and Trusts
Ian is noted for his excellent customer/client service and his experience, qualifications and practice as a lecturer allows him to explain complex issues in a very understandable way.

Ishpinder Boparai

Ishpinder has studied the LLB as well as having completed the Legal Practice Course.

Having taken a career break, she is back in the legal field and training as a licensed conveyancer and currently has 3 years of conveyancing experience under her belt

In her spare time, she enjoys travelling around the world with her family.

Lucie Taylor

Lucie is our senior solicitor with 12 years plus experience, specialising solely in Family Law throughout her career including disputes in respect of where children should live, contact arrangements, domestic violence and abduction.

She gained her accreditation in Children Law in 2010 and now predominantly represents children, and parents in Public Law Care Proceedings.

Lucie is well known and respected amongst her peers and the Judiciary; she conducts her own advocacy and represents clients from all walks of life.

She is approachable and strives to achieve the best possible outcome for her clients.

Seccoya Allen

Trainee Solicitor

Private Client

Seccoya is the Trainee of the firm and began work as a paralegal in our Childcare department in January 2022. She holds a wealth of qualifications under her belt including LPC LLM Post Graduate Diploma in Professional Legal Practice and a Bachelor of Laws with Honours (LLB).

In 2023, she set out to further her career and commenced her training to become a solicitor. Throughout her training she has developed a range of skills and knowledge in Conveyancing and Matrimonial laws and continues to thrive whilst taking great care in her work as she progresses into our private client department.

Emily Keates

Legal Assistant/Paralegal

Children Law

Emily is a Legal Assistant in our Public Children Law team. She specialises in representing parents in pre-proceedings cases where the local authority has become involved in the welfare of children. She was called to the Bar in 2022 and is a non-practising barrister. Emily has qualified as a Civil and Commercial Mediator and an Executive Negotiator.

Hollie Styles

Legal Executive

Matrimonial Law, Children Law

Hollie is a FCILEX-Advocate, having read Law with Politics with at Keele before qualifying as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives, and gaining her Advocacy qualification. She is a legal aid supervisor and also accredited by the Law Society for Family Law. She has been in practice since 2007 specialising in all matters relating to children, and the breakdown of marriages.

Hollie offers a direct approach, legal ease and empathetic service for her clients.

Rachel Sharp

Matrimonial Law, Children Law

Rachel is a Solicitor in the firm. She began her career with Baches in 2025 after qualifying as a Solicitor in September 2024. Rachel has a degree in Law and a Masters Degree in Legal Practice. As a Solicitor she specialises in divorce, financial remedy, separation agreements, cohabitation disputes/agreements, private children law applications and domestic abuse injunctions.
